The Board of Directors is the group that governs the association.  The Board is comprised of five individuals who own homes and reside in Summerset at Brentwood III.  The members of the Board are:

The Summerset III Board of Directors is the voice of the community. It is the mission of the Board of Directors to be an ethical guardian of Summerset III’s assets – protecting and preserving both physical and monetary assets, while encouraging connections within our community.


The board will act in a professional manner. They will exhibit qualities and behaviors that demonstrate commitment, confidence, responsibility, dependability, honesty, and ethics.

The board will approach all situations with honesty. Fairness will be a guiding principle. There is no place for favoritism or bias. The board will follow the Golden Rule, treating others as they would like to be treated.

The board will initiate, carry out and complete tasks for the benefit of the association.

The board will act in good faith, free of hidden agendas, and in the best interests of the association. 

The board strives to foster open communication and transparent decision-making to the extent allowed by law.  When possible, the board will encourage input from members and committees.

The board deliberations and decision making will reflect careful consideration of all perspectives and consider the intended and unintended consequences. Board decisions will be guided by the best interests of the association.

The board will resist the urge to “do things the way they have always been done”, instead will use innovative practices and information in making decisions.

The board will support those who give their time and energy to the association, trusting in their judgement and advocating for them in the community.

The board will be active communicators, listening and responding.

The board will promote the inclusion and welcoming of all community members.


The Board meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 2:00 in the Association Clubhouse.  All residents, both owners and renters, are welcome to attend.  The Board also participates in Joint Board meetings with the other Summersets which are held the 2nd Tuesday of March, June, September and December at 10:00.  All residents are welcome to attend these meetings as well.

AGENDAS are available the week before the Board Meeting. They are posted on the website and the Clubhouse bulletin board.

NOTES from each meeting are published in the Newsletter the following month.


All Board Members serve as liaisons to Committees. Their function is to serve as communication between the Board and the Committee. They also work with each committee to answer questions, authorize purchases and generally serve as a helpful guide.
